Landcare Aviation, Inc. offers a unique opportunity for pilots seeking to gain experience needed for numerous careers in the field of aviation.

We provide aircraft and pilot services to customers who own their own sensors but need aircraft to fly them. To meet this need Landcare Aviation, Inc deploys aircraft around the U.S. and Canada for the purpose of airborne data collection. For our clients to be successful, our company must be extremely flexible and quickly adapt to any situation that arises. We expect the same from our pilots.

Landcare Aviation, Inc requires each pilot to hold a Commercial certificate with Instrument rating, a current Class II medical, and a Passport.

Flying for Landcare is a very demanding job where pilots are given a great deal of responsibility. This requires our pilots to use good judgment and common sense to handle an always-changing work environment. In most cases, pilots are the sole occupant of the aircraft and are also sensoroperators.

Requirements of the job also include non-flight responsibilities.

  • The ability to efficiently multitask in flight
  • Managing the care and maintenance of company aircraft
  • Arranging FBO services
  • Planning for travel arrangements such as obtaining hotel and rental cars at reasonable rates

While there are many challenges with this job, it is also a very unique opportunity for pilots to gain a great deal of experience. Pilots will be asked to fly within every type of airspace, over every type of terrain, and in a wide range of weather conditions. Keeping safety as the top priority, pilots can expect to apply all their flying skills and knowledge while they utilize the full capabilities of their aircraft equipment. You will leave here a more capable and confident pilot.

Note how one of our former pilots described his experience flying for Landcare Aviation:

“Flight school gets you your ratings, Landcare is where you learn to fly and become a pilot.”
